About Us

The GNO Mobile Unit Consortium is a collaborative of health providers who deliver services in a mobile setting.
The mission of the Consortium is to share, learn, and collaborate about the uniqueness of delivering care in a mobile setting in order to optimally address health disparities.

Our goal is to ensure that each provider team is able to connect people to resources in their community and to deliver high-quality health services in areas where there is limited access to care.

Mobile Units provide a unique opportunity to reach communities where there are limited health services or barriers to accessing care. The Greater New Orleans Mobile Unit Consortium is comprised of twelve mobile health daughters of chairty mom and baby mobile unitunits that have a common goal of providing health care for our New Orleans neighbors. The mobile units form a diverse group of services including: pre-natal care, dental care, primary care, behavioral health, fitness, and immunizations.

The Consortium meets once a month to discuss the unique issues that mobile units encounter such as how to engage the target population, maintenance issues, new locations that are in need of services, and how each unit can collaborate to meet the needs of the community.
